About this role
Role overview A senior software engineering role on a Developer Platforms team building GenAI-augmented developer experiences and platform capabilities used across a large product engineering organization. The work spans AI-assisted developer workflows, structured migrations, platform modernization, and turning effective internal practices into reusable tools and agents, with safety and ethical AI use as core concerns.
Responsibilities - Design and build GenAI-powered developer tooling, including prompts, IDE integrations, configuration rules, and usage telemetry - Build and run the GenAI developer platform, providing auth, configuration, and model routing for both local and long-running agents - Define and own guardrails and observability for agentic workflows, integrating with monitoring, developer-experience, and cost tools so agent actions remain safe and auditable - Partner with engineers and managers to understand how software is actually built and to design solutions that fit those workflows - Support structured migrations and platform modernization efforts that pay down technical debt - Participate in a limited on-call rotation, with the schedule set when you join
Requirements - 5+ years of professional software engineering experience - 2+ years improving developer experience through workflows, documentation, or internal platform capabilities - Experience designing and building cloud-native applications, with hands-on Golang work - Hands-on experience building software using GenAI tools such as GitHub Copilot, Cursor, or Claude Code - 3+ years managing and deploying resources in AWS - 2+ years managing workloads deployed on Kubernetes - Experience in prompt engineering or building AI-powered tools
