Role overview A senior leadership role within a corporate Cyber Security function, focused on protecting the software development lifecycle through application and pipeline security. The position is fully remote within the United States and reports into the broader security organization. It is suited for an experienced security leader who can balance program ownership with hands-on technical engagement.
Responsibilities - Lead the application and pipeline security program across development environments, embedding controls into CI/CD workflows and tooling. - Set strategy and priorities for secure coding, secrets management, dependency, and container security initiatives. - Partner with engineering, platform, and product teams to remediate vulnerabilities discovered in applications and pipelines. - Define and track security metrics, KPIs, and risk reporting for leadership and stakeholders. - Mentor senior engineers and analysts, growing technical depth across the application security function.
Requirements - Demonstrated experience leading application security programs, including secure SDLC and DevSecOps practices. - Strong working knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure-as-code, and cloud-native application architectures. - Track record of building cross-functional relationships with software developers, platform engineers, and security operations. - Familiarity with common vulnerability classes such as those cataloged in OWASP and CWE, plus relevant tooling for SAST, DAST, and SCA. - Prior people-management or technical leadership experience at the senior or manager level.
Benefits and work setup - Remote role based in the United States. - Published salary range of $103,000 to $191,400, depending on experience and location.
