Job details
About this role
Role overview Own order-to-cash architecture across several concurrent SAP customer transformations, primarily moving from ECC to S/4HANA. You’ll determine which established processes and customizations reflect real business needs, define a practical target state and transition path, and guide delivery through adoption. The work combines deep SAP expertise with AI-assisted analysis; architectural judgment and customer outcomes remain central.
Responsibilities - Set functional and architectural direction for sales, pricing, availability, logistics execution, billing, accounts receivable, and connected credit, tax, revenue, and collections processes. - Assess existing SAP estates and design conversion approaches, weighing brownfield, selective data transition, and greenfield options. - Review specifications, define OTC data and open-document conversion, reconciliation, and cutover approaches, and preserve design integrity during implementation. - Coordinate with customer architects, delivery engineers, technical program managers, and AI tools; surface integration risks across EDI/IDoc, tax, payments, CRM, commerce, logistics, and finance systems. - Help improve AI platform capabilities by turning recurring OTC decisions and field lessons into reusable guidance. - Drive customer adoption by resolving process, skills, trust, or product barriers and preparing customer advocates to sustain the new design.
Requirements - 12 or more years of SAP experience focused on order-to-cash, with architect-level ownership on at least two full lifecycle implementations, conversions, or transformations. - Current, hands-on SAP SD expertise spanning sales documents, pricing, availability, delivery, billing, intercompany, returns, partner determination, and output determination; working knowledge of related MM, FI-AR, and CO processes. - Practical ECC-to-S/4HANA OTC experience, including real-world simplification impacts and the ability to explain their consequences. - Experience with at least one S/4HANA transition approach and the judgment to recommend among alternatives. - Ability to lead several active engagements, make decisions amid ambiguity, and communicate trade-offs clearly to customers and delivery teams. - Commitment to making the target design usable in day-to-day sales, logistics, and billing operations.
Nice to have - A completed S/4HANA OTC go-live and experience with multiple transition routes or Private and Public Cloud. - Industry experience in areas such as manufacturing, life sciences, distribution, high tech, or subscription businesses. - Familiarity with adjacent SAP capabilities, revenue recognition, Business Partner conversion, high-volume EDI, tax platforms, AI or automation in enterprise delivery, or SAP Activate. - SAP certification or Spanish, Portuguese, or German language skills.
