Principal Consultant - Education Cloud Architect

Role overview A senior consulting role focused on shaping large-scale Salesforce Education Cloud programs for colleges and universities. The architect partners with executive sponsors to define strategy, design solutions across the student lifecycle, and guide delivery teams through complex transformations spanning admissions, student success, advising, advancement, and alumni engagement.
Responsibilities - Lead end-to-end solution architecture for higher education digital transformation initiatives. - Run discovery workshops with institutional leaders to clarify objectives, map current operations, and define future-state requirements. - Produce scalable solution designs, architecture diagrams, data models, and phased implementation roadmaps. - Architect Education Cloud capabilities across recruitment, admissions, student success, advising, academic operations, advancement, alumni relations, and constituent engagement. - Define enterprise data architecture, governance, integration strategy, and oversee migration away from legacy student information systems. - Provide architectural oversight through design reviews, configuration guidance, testing, deployment, and post-production optimization, while mentoring delivery teams.
Requirements - Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, business, education technology, or a related discipline. - 7+ years of Salesforce platform experience, including 3+ years in a Solution Architect, Technical Architect, or Lead Consultant role. - Deep expertise in Education Cloud and higher education business processes, including person accounts, relationships, affiliations, and student lifecycle data. - Demonstrated experience designing multi-cloud Salesforce solutions with complex integrations and large data migrations. - Strong command of Salesforce platform features such as Flow, OmniStudio, Experience Cloud, and Data Cloud. - Excellent communication, presentation, stakeholder management, and consulting skills, with the ability to translate business needs into scalable technical roadmaps.
Nice to have - Salesforce certifications such as Education Cloud Consultant, Application Architect, System Architect, or Data Cloud Consultant. - Familiarity with Student Information Systems, ERP platforms, and broader higher education technology ecosystems. - Experience supporting pre-sales work, solution estimation, and executive presentations. - Working knowledge of Agile delivery methods applied to large-scale programs.
