Senior Software Engineer | Contract | Remote

Role overview Build and modernize software systems as a senior engineer, working across established applications, integrations, and production environments. The role combines feature development with diagnosing operational issues and replacing legacy capabilities in manageable steps, with care for existing users and services.

Responsibilities - Develop and maintain applications using C#/.NET and Angular. - Diagnose SQL Server query, data access, and performance problems, including in production. - Design and integrate REST APIs and connections between systems. - Build adapters and replacement components that support gradual modernization of legacy functionality. - Work in TypeScript and Node.js codebases to support application features and integrations. - Add automated tests and deliver incremental changes that protect existing behavior and limit operational risk.

Requirements - Strong hands-on C# and .NET application development experience. - Strong experience building applications with Angular. - Solid SQL Server troubleshooting skills, including query, data access, and performance analysis. - Experience designing, building, and integrating REST APIs. - Proficiency with TypeScript and Node.js. - Experience writing automated tests and maintaining reliable software. - Ability to work independently in complex production systems with limited or outdated documentation. - Experience building integrations, adapters, or replacement components to modernize legacy systems incrementally.

Nice to have - Experience with legacy application modernization, complex integrations, or data migration. - Familiarity with deployment approaches that reduce risk in established production systems.
