Role overview
Customize and extend an Epicor Kinetic ERP system using its native tools, translating business needs into reliable workflows, screens, reports, and integrations. The work spans development and consulting, with an emphasis on preserving core system code and following sound ERP practices.
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain user interface customizations for Kinetic screens, including tailored forms and controls. - Create server-side business rules and reusable functions, using C# for complex logic where needed. - Extend the ERP data model with user-defined tables and fields. - Develop and optimize Business Activity Queries and dashboards for reporting and operational insight. - Create or update financial and operational reports, and support integrations through REST APIs or Service Connect. - Troubleshoot customizations and workflows with Epicor tracing and browser debugging tools.
Requirements
- Around 5–10 years of IT development experience, including at least five years working with ERP systems. - Recent hands-on experience with Epicor Kinetic, including the last two years on that version. - Strong C# and SQL skills, with familiarity with .NET and T-SQL performance optimization. - Demonstrated experience developing Epicor customizations, BPMs, queries, or related technical tools. - Analytical and communication skills to gather requirements and turn business processes into technical solutions. - Ability to keep UI and server-side logic appropriately separated and use ERP services rather than directly changing database records.
Nice to have
- Epicor tools or technology management certification, or demonstrated consulting capability in the tools area. - Experience with a recent Epicor 10 version or in manufacturing or distribution environments. - Basic programming knowledge alongside Epicor consulting experience.
