Role overview

Join a back-end engineering team building the next generation of a practice management platform that supports clinical operations. As a Software Engineer I, you will design and implement scalable services, modernize core architecture, and contribute to foundational building blocks that power product features. The role emphasizes collaboration, continuous learning, and applying emerging technologies including AI tooling to deliver reliable software.

Responsibilities

- Design, develop, test, and deploy scalable, maintainable software applications using Spring Boot, Java, and cloud technologies. - Collaborate with product managers, designers, and cross-functional teams to architect robust solutions that meet business requirements. - Build, test, and maintain critical services that form the foundation for product features and improve team efficiency. - Participate actively in code reviews, both receiving feedback on pull requests and reviewing peers' contributions. - Contribute to Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, daily standups, retrospectives, and backlog grooming. - Research and apply emerging technologies, industry best practices, and AI tools to improve development quality and speed.

Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field. - 0–1 years of professional software development experience, with 1+ years of internship experience desirable. - Strong understanding of object-oriented programming, data structures, and algorithms. - Solid problem-solving skills with attention to performance and scalability. - Excellent written and verbal communication, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly. - Positive attitude, strong desire to learn, and genuine enjoyment of writing code.

Nice to have

- Hands-on experience with Spring, version control systems, and relational databases. - Interest or hands-on experience in AI-focused development such as LLM APIs, prompt engineering, or local AI tools and frameworks. - Hands-on experience with Python and related frameworks including Django, FastAPI, or Flask.
