Senior Software Engineer (Agentic Search) – Web Rendering Engineer

Role overview As a Senior Software Engineer focused on web rendering, you will build infrastructure that turns modern, interactive websites into structured content for search and AI systems. The work spans browser rendering, JavaScript execution, and large-scale processing, with the goal of extracting useful information reliably while controlling latency, resource use, and cost.

Responsibilities - Design and build rendering systems for modern web applications at large scale. - Develop browser-based infrastructure that can execute complex JavaScript applications reliably. - Investigate how current frontend frameworks render pages and deliver content. - Improve rendering completeness, quality, and performance across varied sites. - Optimize cost, latency, throughput, and resource utilization across high-volume workloads. - Turn rendering research into dependable production services.

Requirements - Five or more years of software engineering experience building production backend or infrastructure systems. - Strong expertise in several areas of browser rendering, including the Chromium pipeline, DOM, layout, paint, and compositing. - Experience with browser JavaScript execution, page lifecycle and readiness, headless browser operation, and instrumentation. - Familiarity with the Chrome DevTools Protocol and tools such as Playwright, Puppeteer, or Selenium. - Knowledge of modern web architectures and frameworks, including server-side and client-side rendering, single-page applications, resource loading, and lazy loading.

Nice to have - Experience operating high-throughput content pipelines or designing distributed systems for performance. - Open-source contributions, engineering community involvement, technical publications, or conference talks. - The interview process includes coding interviews.
