Role overview Build and support payment integrations that help merchants connect online stores to payment services. The work spans PHP plugins, Shopify apps and integrations, payment APIs, testing, documentation, and production troubleshooting across e-commerce platforms.

Responsibilities - Develop, maintain, and improve e-commerce plugins and Shopify integrations, keeping them compatible with platform changes. - Connect platforms to payment APIs, SDKs, and webhooks; support authorization, capture, refunds, voids, and payment status updates. - Investigate integration problems reported by merchants, partners, and internal teams, and help resolve production issues. - Create automated tests and support reliable releases across supported platforms. - Work with engineering, product, quality, operations, and partner teams to improve integration reliability and usability. - Maintain technical documentation, participate in code reviews, and improve performance and developer tools.

Requirements - At least five years of professional software development experience, including work with a payment gateway, payment provider, fintech, acquiring, or related payment technology. - Strong practical PHP skills and hands-on Shopify development experience, including APIs, apps or integrations, and webhooks. - Experience building and maintaining e-commerce plugins, extensions, modules, or apps. - Understanding of online payment flows and concepts such as authorization, capture, refunds, tokenization, recurring payments, and 3DS. - Experience with REST APIs, JSON, authentication, webhooks, HTTP, Git, SQL, and relational databases. - Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills, ability to work independently and collaboratively, and excellent spoken and written English.
