Senior Software Engineer (Platform team)

Role overview

A Senior Software Engineer role on the Platform team building the identity, account, and cloud-onboarding services that power a cloud security product. The position focuses on the foundational, distributed services every other engineering team depends on, with an emphasis on reliability, scalability, and developer velocity.

Responsibilities

- Design, build, and operate identity and account services covering authentication, authorization, and user and team directory functionality - Build scalable, highly available, distributed platform services used by multiple engineering teams across the product - Maintain the cross-product capabilities the team owns, including automations, an analytics system, and ticketing integration - Own and evolve the onboarding experience for connecting cloud provider accounts such as AWS, Azure, GCP, and OCI, working closely with Product, Frontend, Design, and QE - Participate in an on-call rotation to respond to urgent production issues

Requirements

- 5+ years of professional experience as a Software Engineer designing and shipping distributed, highly available services - Strong proficiency in Go or Java - Hands-on experience with Postgres or another relational database and a messaging system such as NATS - Hands-on experience with AI coding agents and a proactive approach to learning how to leverage them in engineering workflows

Nice to have

- Experience with SaaS applications and delivering large software projects end-to-end - Familiarity with Single Sign-On (SSO) integration - Ability to move between high-priority projects and tasks in a distributed, remote-first team
