Forward Deployed Engineer

Role overview Build the runtime that enables AI agents to plan work, use tools, retain context, and recover from failures. The role focuses on backend systems and practical ways to measure and improve agent performance in production.

Responsibilities - Design and implement orchestration for multi-step agent tasks. - Build tool-calling systems that let agents interact with external capabilities. - Create evaluations that measure task completion and guide improvements. - Make agent activity observable and support safe interruption and recovery. - Account for common failure modes in systems that use tools through language models.

Requirements - Experience shipping applications or agents powered by large language models. - Strong backend engineering skills in TypeScript or Python. - Understanding of how tool-using models can fail and how systems can handle those failures.
