Full-Stack Developer

Role overview A Full-Stack Developer role centered on building bespoke internal tools and applications that replace costly third-party SaaS subscriptions with software clients fully own and control. The work spans a wide variety of project types and industries, requiring engineers who enjoy learning new domains and delivering complete solutions from database to user interface. Each engagement emphasizes long-term maintainability so clients can extend the software after handoff.

Responsibilities - Design and develop custom internal applications including employee portals, workflow tools, dashboards, and automation systems - Translate real business workflows into software, avoiding the rigidity of generic off-the-shelf products - Make architectural decisions and select appropriate technology stacks for each project, balancing speed of delivery with long-term sustainability - Build solutions either from scratch or by customizing and extending open-source foundations - Coordinate smooth client handoff with documentation, training, and knowledge transfer so systems remain maintainable - Work across multiple concurrent projects in different industries, adapting quickly to new problem domains

Requirements - Strong full-stack engineering skills spanning backend, frontend, and database layers - Experience building production applications end-to-end with attention to UX, performance, and reliability - Comfort making technology choices and owning the full delivery lifecycle - Ability to balance rapid prototyping with sustainable engineering practices - Strong communication skills for working directly with non-technical client stakeholders - Adaptability to switch between domains, project types, and tech stacks as engagements require

Nice to have - Familiarity with customizing or extending open-source SaaS alternatives - Experience with handoff, documentation, and client enablement processes - Background consulting or working directly with external clients
