Job details
About this role
Role overview A DevOps Engineer role building deployment pipelines, infrastructure automation, and operational tooling that help client engineering teams ship software reliably and frequently. The work covers the full DevOps lifecycle—CI, CD, infrastructure as code, and observability—with added focus on the unique deployment patterns of AI/ML systems such as model serving, artifact versioning, and A/B testing. It is a fully remote, US-based, full-time opportunity with a salary range of $130,000–$180,000.
Responsibilities
- Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines that move code through environments with gates, approvals, and rollback capabilities - Implement infrastructure as code so cloud resources are managed with the same rigor as application code - Build containerization and orchestration strategies that support both traditional and ML workloads - Stand up observability systems—logging, metrics, and tracing—to give visibility into production health - Create model serving infrastructure, large artifact storage, and A/B testing frameworks for ML deployment - Document processes, automate manual operational tasks, and improve incident response across client environments
Requirements
- Solid experience with CI/CD tooling, containerization, and at least one major cloud platform - Proficiency with infrastructure as code tools such as Terraform, Pulumi, or CloudFormation - Familiarity with Kubernetes, container networking, and deployment best practices - Understanding of observability stacks and how to design for reliable incident response - Exposure to ML lifecycle concepts including data preparation, model versioning, and serving - Comfort working across multiple client environments at varying maturity levels
Nice to have
- Experience supporting AI/ML systems end to end, from data pipelines to model deployment - Background building self-service platforms for internal developer use
Benefits and work setup
- Fully remote within the US, full-time - Salary range of $130,000–$180,000 - MacBook Pro, external display, and peripherals of choice - Access to AI tools and subscriptions such as GPT-4, Claude, and GitHub Copilot - 401(k) with company match, 12 weeks paid parental leave, and a $1,000 home office stipend - Quarterly team offsites in interesting locations - Support to attend or speak at DevOps conferences
