About this role
Role overview A senior Cloud Solutions Architect role designing secure, scalable, and cost-optimized infrastructure across AWS, GCP, and Azure for client AI initiatives and business-critical applications. Work spans migrations, greenfield builds, and modernization, with a strong emphasis on AI/ML workloads such as LLM inference, training pipelines, vector databases, and RAG systems. It is a fully remote, US-based, full-time position with a salary range of $160,000–$220,000.
Responsibilities
- Design cloud architectures for AI/ML training, inference, data pipelines, and high-availability applications - Lead cloud migration planning, including assessment, sequencing, and risk mitigation - Build Kubernetes architectures for containerized workloads with appropriate scaling and networking - Implement infrastructure as code using Terraform, Pulumi, or CloudFormation for repeatable deployments - Design security architectures covering IAM, network isolation, encryption, and compliance controls - Develop cost optimization and FinOps strategies, and present recommendations to client stakeholders
Requirements
- 7+ years in infrastructure, including 4+ years focused on cloud architecture - Deep expertise in at least one major cloud (AWS, GCP, or Azure) with working knowledge of the others - Professional cloud certification such as AWS Solutions Architect Professional or GCP Professional Cloud Architect - Strong experience with infrastructure as code and Kubernetes architecture (networking, storage, security, multi-cluster) - Understanding of AI/ML infrastructure needs: GPU instances, model serving, vector databases, and data architectures including lakes, warehouses, streaming, and ETL/ELT - Excellent communication skills for presenting to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Nice to have
- Multiple cloud certifications across AWS, GCP, and Azure - Experience with specialized AI hardware (NVIDIA GPUs, TPUs, custom ASICs), edge or hybrid cloud, and service meshes like Istio or Linkerd - Background in platform engineering, chaos engineering, or resilience testing - Familiarity with compliance frameworks such as SOC 2, HIPAA, PCI-DSS, or FedRAMP - Prior consulting experience with cloud vendors or system integrators - Public speaking or thought-leadership experience
