Role overview A consulting-style Business Intelligence Analyst role focused on turning scattered operational data from CRM, ERP, support, and marketing systems into trustworthy reporting for client leadership. The position blends traditional BI engineering (data modeling, ETL, dashboards) with modern AI capabilities such as anomaly detection and natural-language interfaces. It is a fully remote, US-based, full-time opportunity with a salary range of $100,000–$150,000.
Responsibilities
- Run discovery sessions with sales, operations, finance, and customer success stakeholders to define KPIs and reporting requirements - Design data models and build ETL/ELT pipelines that move source data into warehouses or BI tools - Create analytics dashboards and reporting systems that give leadership real-time operational visibility - Implement data quality checks, handle missing data and edge cases, and document solutions for client maintainers - Add AI-driven features such as automated anomaly detection and natural-language query interfaces - Translate business questions into measurable metrics and iterate on them as client needs evolve
Requirements
- Hands-on experience designing data pipelines and building BI/reporting solutions for non-technical audiences - Proficiency with SQL, data modeling, and at least one modern BI or visualization platform - Familiarity with warehousing concepts and ETL/ELT orchestration patterns - Ability to run stakeholder interviews and translate findings into technical requirements - Comfort implementing AI-augmented features on top of traditional BI stacks - Strong documentation habits so clients can extend the work after handoff
