About this role
Role overview
A senior product manager position at a product engineering studio that partners with companies to design, build, and scale custom software. The role owns client engagements end to end, serving as the lead product strategist across multiple concurrent projects. Engagements vary widely, from greenfield 0→1 product work to large-scale legacy modernization, with a growing share involving AI-enabled and agentic workflows.
Responsibilities
- Own product strategy across several client accounts at once, including product vision, market and competitive analysis, and opportunity sizing - Run continuous discovery and user research throughout the product lifecycle, not only at kickoff - Build and maintain product roadmaps and decide what is worth building next - Shape go-to-market plans in collaboration with client stakeholders - Partner with a dedicated delivery lead (execution) and design lead (experience) on each engagement, contributing stories, acceptance criteria, and prioritization - Help scope and shape new engagements, contribute to estimation and statements of work, and mentor other product managers
Requirements
- 5+ years of product management experience with a track record of owning product strategy end to end - Comfort leading ambiguous, high-stakes work with limited upfront specification - Organizational habits to carry several products at once and manage context switching well - Experience scoping work, managing budgets, and delivering on time and on budget - Direct client or external stakeholder-facing experience and comfort owning that relationship day to day - Strong written communication and structured thinking; ability to turn messy conversations into clear, scoped plans - Continuous discovery practice that extends through launch, iteration, growth, and scale - Technical fluency to hold credible conversations with engineers about tradeoffs, constraints, and sequencing - Active use of generative AI and agentic workflows, with a real point of view on where they create value - Comfort contributing to an agile delivery environment
Nice to have
- Background in consulting, client services, or agency product work, including carrying more than one client at a time - Experience building a product from scratch and driving it to adoption - Familiarity with AI-enabled product work, prompt-based tools, or no-code automation - Experience helping scope or shape new engagements, including estimation and statements of work - Background in a regulated or operationally complex domain such as healthcare, fintech, or logistics - Genuine curiosity about emerging technology
