Senior Cloud Engineer - US

Role overview Serve as a senior platform engineer responsible for cloud infrastructure spanning architecture, implementation, and continuous improvement. The role centers on automation, security, and operational excellence for mission-critical workloads running on enterprise cloud platforms.

Responsibilities - Translate high-level architecture decisions into concrete engineering tasks and delivery plans. - Drive improvements across platform patterns covering networking, identity and access management, security, observability, automation, and deployment workflows. - Troubleshoot and resolve complex cloud operations issues, providing senior technical guidance across teams. - Mature runbooks, monitoring strategies, alerting frameworks, support handoffs, and operational documentation. - Identify platform gaps, technical debt, and architectural risks, then prioritize remediation efforts. - Partner with product teams across multiple business units to align infrastructure with application needs. - Lead incident response and post-incident reviews for cloud platform issues. - Mentor engineers on cloud architecture, DevOps practices, and operational excellence. - Establish and enforce cloud governance, compliance, and security standards.

Requirements - Strong background in DevOps, platform engineering, or cloud infrastructure roles. - Hands-on experience operating Google Cloud Platform in enterprise environments. - Expert knowledge of GCP services spanning compute, networking, storage, IAM, Cloud SQL, and observability tooling. - Strong proficiency with infrastructure-as-code using Terraform or comparable tools. - Deep experience with CI/CD platforms such as GitLab CI/CD, GitHub Actions, and Helm. - Deep experience with Kubernetes and GKE, including container orchestration, load balancing, and networking. - Strong scripting and automation skills in Python, Bash, Go, or similar languages. - Solid grasp of compliance requirements and IAM best practices, plus monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions. - Proven ability to mentor engineers and drive architectural standards across teams.
