Role overview Build and operate dependable cloud environments across the major hyperscalers, with a focus on infrastructure-as-code, automation, and security. The role suits an engineer who enjoys designing scalable foundations while partnering closely with application teams.
Responsibilities - Design and implement cloud infrastructure solutions across AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud Platform. - Build and maintain highly available, scalable, and secure cloud environments that meet business SLAs. - Develop infrastructure-as-code using Terraform, CloudFormation, ARM templates, or comparable tools. - Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines that automate deployment and configuration management. - Design and optimize multi-cloud networking architectures including VPNs, VPCs, and hybrid connectivity. - Establish monitoring, logging, and alerting systems using cloud-native and third-party tools. - Apply security best practices covering identity management, encryption, and compliance controls. - Optimize cloud spend via resource right-sizing, architectural tuning, and FinOps-style practices. - Automate operational tasks through Python, Bash, or PowerShell scripting. - Lead incident response and troubleshooting for cloud infrastructure issues, and mentor junior engineers.
Requirements - Five or more years of experience in cloud engineering and infrastructure management. - Expert-level knowledge of at least two major cloud platforms across AWS, Azure, and GCP. - Strong experience with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform, Pulumi, CloudFormation, or ARM templates. - Proficiency with containerization platforms including Docker, Kubernetes, ECS, AKS, and GKE. - Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, or CircleCI. - Advanced scripting skills in Python, Bash, or PowerShell. - Deep understanding of networking concepts including TCP/IP, DNS, load balancing, firewalls, and VPN. - Familiarity with configuration management tools such as Ansible, Chef, Puppet, or Salt. - Knowledge of monitoring and observability platforms such as Prometheus, Grafana, CloudWatch, Datadog, or New Relic. - Solid grasp of security best practices and compliance frameworks including ISO 27001, SOC 2, and GDPR. - Familiarity with serverless architectures, microservices patterns, and SQL plus NoSQL database technologies.
