Senior DevOps Engineer

Role overview

A high-growth, engineering-driven SaaS organization is hiring a Senior DevOps Engineer to scale and operate the platform that supports millions of users. This is a hands-on individual contributor role focused on cloud infrastructure, automation, and reliability, partnering closely with engineering teams to improve performance, strengthen security, and enable fast, dependable deployments.

Responsibilities

- Design, build, and operate scalable AWS infrastructure that powers a large user base. - Containerize applications with Docker and orchestrate workloads using Kubernetes in production environments. - Develop and maintain infrastructure as code using Terraform to manage cloud resources consistently. - Improve and extend CI/CD pipelines with tools such as Jenkins and GitHub Actions to accelerate delivery. - Implement monitoring, logging, and observability tooling (for example New Relic, Datadog, or Grafana) to detect and resolve issues quickly. - Lead root cause analysis for production incidents and collaborate with engineering teams to streamline development and deployment workflows.

Requirements

- 6–10 years of experience in DevOps, site reliability engineering, or infrastructure engineering roles. - Strong hands-on background operating AWS in production at scale. - Practical experience with Kubernetes and containerized systems. - Proficiency with Terraform or comparable infrastructure-as-code tooling. - Solid CI/CD experience using GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or equivalent systems. - Scripting ability in Bash, Python, or similar languages, plus strong Linux or Unix fundamentals.
