Remote job
Full Stack Developer (React, Python)
Job details
About this role
Role overview
This full stack role centers on shaping the user-facing layers of a code-generation platform, including the console where users build applications, the front ends the platform emits, and the public-facing site. The work spans both the React client and the Python (or Node) backend, meaning a single change to a shared component can ripple across every application produced on the platform. The position suits someone who wants broad ownership of a product surface and takes both engineering rigour and design taste seriously.
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain a React 18 + Vite console used for project creation, schema design, app generation, connector wiring, and deployment - Develop the React application that the platform emits for every project, along with the shared UI library that backs it - Maintain a Next.js 14 public site built as a static export, including marketing and informational pages - Design backend endpoints in Python and consume them in React on the same day, tightening the loop on API design - Make thoughtful decisions about empty states, error states, and edge cases, not only the happy demo path - Contribute to API contracts that bridge the front end and the service layer
Requirements
- 3+ years of professional experience across both front end and back end work - Deep React knowledge, including state management, predictable rendering, and component design - Backend competence in Python or Node, sufficient to own an endpoint end to end - A design eye that distinguishes a page which merely looks done from one that is genuinely finished - Comfort owning both an endpoint and the screen that calls it, regardless of formal training path - Curiosity about AI-assisted UI and agent-driven authoring workflows
Nice to have
- Hands-on experience with Next.js, Tailwind, and design systems - Accessibility work done with care rather than as an afterthought - Data visualization experience - A track record of shipping UI that non-technical users can operate without in-person guidance
