Job details
About this role
Role overview
Own the security and trust product strategy for a developer-focused data platform, balancing strong protection with a low-friction developer experience. You will shape controls for individual developers, growing teams, and regulated enterprises, while defining how automated AI agents authenticate, receive permissions, and leave auditable records. The work spans security engineering, compliance, authentication, networking, audit, and go-to-market stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Set and lead the end-to-end platform security roadmap, from secure defaults to advanced enterprise controls. - Evaluate the tradeoff between stronger protection and the friction introduced for developers and administrators. - Define the security model for AI agents, including authentication, scoped permissions, activity auditing, and customer control. - Own customer-facing security capabilities such as firewalls, security guidance, audit trails, secrets protection, temporary database access, and identity-management primitives. - Establish a consistent access model covering roles, permissions, personal tokens, OAuth integrations, organization and project structure, single sign-on, and automated user provisioning. - Coordinate cross-functional strategy and drive multi-team proposals from initial problem definition through shipped implementation.
Requirements
- Product management experience owning security, identity, access, infrastructure, or developer-platform products. - Strong judgment in translating complex security requirements into clear, usable customer experiences. - Ability to work effectively with Product, Engineering, Security, Compliance, and go-to-market teams. - Excellent written communication, including customer disclosures, threat models, documentation, and executive-facing briefs. - Comfort working remotely and asynchronously, with decisions and context captured in writing.
Nice to have
- Experience with compliance programs such as SOC 2, HIPAA, ISO 27001, PCI, or FedRAMP. - Technical depth in databases, authentication systems, or networking primitives. - Experience designing access models for AI agents or other automated systems. - Experience shipping security features requiring approval from enterprise security leaders.
Benefits and work setup
Fully remote and globally distributed across EMEA and AMER time zones, with flexible asynchronous work. The package includes equity ownership, a technology allowance, coworking support, health coverage, annual company gatherings, and an annual professional-development allowance.
