Mendix Low-Code Application Developer (100% Remote, US)

Role overview A state agency is delivering a time-sensitive, highly visible application development effort on a low-code platform and is hiring a contract developer to build secure, scalable, user-centered solutions. The position is fully remote, open to U.S. candidates who can work Arizona business hours, and is structured as a W2 contract of roughly three to four months with possible extension.

Responsibilities - Configure and develop applications on a Mendix-style low-code platform, including microflows, nanoflows, domain models, pages, and integrations with external data sources. - Partner with business analysts to gather requirements, shape system design, support testing, and drive implementation. - Analyze current business processes and document future-state workflows, business rules, and supporting diagrams. - Prepare user acceptance test cases, coordinate UAT with stakeholders, and perform data validation and quality assurance inside the platform. - Support pre-go-live testing, defect resolution, and ongoing project documentation. - Work inside an Agile/Scrum team and keep the Scrum Master or project manager informed of progress, risks, and action items.

Requirements - Hands-on experience building production applications on a low-code or no-code platform, with Mendix strongly preferred. - Familiarity with Agile/Scrum delivery and tools such as JIRA. - Working knowledge of SQL Server for querying, reporting, and diagnostics. - Understanding of PCI compliance standards and exposure to automated testing practices. - Strong documentation and communication skills; prior public-sector experience is a plus. - Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship, available for a prompt virtual interview, and able to start within two weeks of an offer. A background check is required.

Nice to have - Prior work on government or regulated-industry programs. - Experience coordinating UAT with non-technical stakeholders and translating feedback into platform changes.
