Role overview A Senior Solutions Engineer is needed to serve as the primary technical resource for an Accounts team covering the ANZ region. The role centers on helping prospective and existing clients solve security and observability challenges through presentations, product demonstrations, and hands-on technical evaluations such as Proofs of Value. The position blends deep technical credibility, customer-facing communication, and cross-functional influence with product and engineering teams.
Responsibilities - Partner with Account Executives and Account Managers to uncover customer pain points and articulate how the platform addresses security and observability needs. - Lead technical validations end-to-end during the Proof of Value phase, guiding customers from scoping through to a successful outcome. - Deliver compelling product demonstrations tailored to security, log analytics, and operational monitoring use cases. - Engage confidently with audiences ranging from C-level executives down to individual developers and Site Reliability Engineers. - Support technically complex deal closures through competitive knowledge, hands-on skill, and trusted-advisor credibility. - Feed customer insights back to Product Management and Engineering to influence product improvements.
Requirements - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline; a Master's degree is a plus. - 4+ years in a customer-facing technical role such as Solutions Engineer, Solutions Architect, Sales Engineer, Implementation Consultant, Support Engineer, SRE, or Software Developer. - Hands-on knowledge of security technologies including IDS/IPS, SIEM and log management, network and endpoint security, threat detection and incident response, MSSP/MDR services, threat feeds, and CASB. - Experience with pure SaaS solutions built on multi-tenant architectures. - Working familiarity with at least one major cloud platform: AWS, GCP, or Azure; relevant certifications are preferred. - Broad understanding of technical infrastructure including servers, networking, and storage. - Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate between business and technical audiences.
Nice to have - Exposure to open-source telemetry collectors such as Telegraf, FluentBit, FluentD, or OpenTelemetry. - Experience with modern application architectures including microservices, containers, Kubernetes, Docker, or Lambda. - Familiarity with monitoring and observability tools such as Splunk, Datadog, Elastic, or New Relic. - Background working in a fast-paced, dynamic startup environment.
