Role overview
A senior individual contributor role on a growth algorithms team that blends machine learning, experimentation, and large-scale data to shape client acquisition, retention, and reactivation programs. The position sits within a retail personalization organization that combines traditional ML with large language models to power personalized shopping experiences.
Responsibilities
- Design and analyze experiments that test new features and recommend next steps to stakeholders and leadership. - Build Next Best Action models and optimize marketing efforts through CRM and paid media channels. - Apply both traditional machine learning and LLM-based approaches to growth problems. - Work with product, design, and engineering partners to develop roadmaps for new client products and infrastructure. - Leverage large, behavior-rich datasets about clients, merchandise, and interactions to inform modeling decisions. - Manage the full lifecycle of analytical and modeling work, from research through production deployment.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field such as computer science, statistics, physics, mathematics, or a related discipline; a master's or PhD is preferred. - Five or more years of experience designing and deploying machine learning algorithms, ideally in retail personalization, recommendation systems, or search. - Ability to architect technical solutions of moderate complexity and write production-grade code, ideally in Python. - Experience working with large-scale distributed datasets and accounting for biases in analysis. - Familiarity with AI-assisted coding practices and agentic product development. - Hands-on experience designing and interpreting online A/B tests, experimentation frameworks, and performance metrics. - Strong communication skills, a solution-oriented mindset, and a collaborative approach to working with cross-functional partners.
