Cloud Engineer

Role overview

A cloud engineering role leading autonomous cloud operations and AI infrastructure orchestration across AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud. The position configures multi-cloud platforms, manages advanced APIs, and integrates applications across diverse architectures to ensure production-ready systems.

Responsibilities

- Build governance, security, and networking standards in AWS and Azure with focus on Zero Trust architecture and disaster recovery. - Design multi-region solutions with seamless cross-cloud integration across AWS, Azure, and Google. - Establish high-speed networking using Direct Connect and ExpressRoute for secure, high-performance traffic flow. - Monitor cloud systems using AI-driven insights and OpenTelemetry standards. - Develop APIs for cloud systems, translating architectural requirements into serverless and event-driven solutions. - Participate in software design and code reviews aligned with functional and security standards. - Create internal developer platforms (IDPs) enabling self-service cloud deployments. - Contribute to strategic planning around FinOps cost optimization and carbon footprint reporting. - Implement advanced security measures supporting compliance with global regulatory standards. - Manage and resolve complex issues related to cloud architecture and system performance.

Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field. - Five or more years in cloud engineering with deep AWS and Azure expertise. - Proficiency in JavaScript or TypeScript, Python, Go, or Java or Kotlin. - Mastery of CI/CD pipelines and integration of automated security testing such as SAST and DAST. - Deep experience with containerization and orchestration using Kubernetes (EKS or AKS) and serverless technologies. - Experience deploying and scaling Large Language Model infrastructure or vector databases such as Pinecone or Weaviate. - Advanced proficiency with Terraform, Pulumi, or Crossplane. - Familiarity with public, private, and hybrid cloud environments. - Clear communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders around complex cloud strategies.

Nice to have

- Experience using AI-assisted coding tools such as GitHub Copilot or Cursor to accelerate infrastructure deployment. - Deep knowledge of Prometheus, Grafana, and Honeycomb for high-cardinality data tracking. - Writing unit and integration tests for infrastructure code using tools like Terratest. - Certifications such as AWS Solutions Architect Professional, Azure Solutions Architect Expert, or Certified Kubernetes Administrator.
