Senior Web Software Engineer

Role overview

This role focuses on creating and evolving a polished public-facing website and the frontend systems behind it. You will build reusable interface components, bring visual designs to life through advanced styling and animation, and help extend functionality from a mobile product to the web. The work combines hands-on frontend engineering with content-platform management, rendering, site generation, and close partnership across product, design, and growth.

Responsibilities

- Build and maintain a reusable component library for a public website. - Own web features from initial problem definition through implementation, launch, and ongoing improvement. - Translate visual concepts into responsive styling, animation, and interactive experiences. - Manage content-platform functionality, server-side rendering, and site-generation workflows. - Migrate appropriate capabilities from a mobile application to the web. - Work with product, design, and growth partners to plan and deliver new web functionality.

Requirements

- At least six years of professional frontend development experience. - Strong computer science fundamentals and a clear focus on software quality. - Experience designing, building, and maintaining public-facing websites with React. - A portfolio demonstrating sophisticated web experiences, such as animation, 3D, or micro-interactions. - Advanced knowledge of CSS and modern animation frameworks.

Nice to have

- Experience with tools or libraries such as D3 or Three.js.
