Role overview
Join a data team as a senior analytics engineer owning the models, pipelines, and metric definitions that every other team builds on. The work focuses on designing and maintaining the transformation layer that turns raw user, product, banking, and risk data into a trustworthy, fast-querying foundation for analytics and decision-making across the company.
Responsibilities
- Own and maintain core analytics data models serving as the single source of truth for dashboards and BI tools - Design, build, and maintain pipelines and transformations with quality, freshness, and lineage checks built in - Advise product, risk, marketing, growth, and finance partners on metric definitions and instrumentation - Build and maintain the semantic layer underneath BI tools so stakeholders rely on consistent, well-modeled data - Apply AI-augmented workflows to scaffold models, generate tests and documentation, and accelerate exploratory analysis - Create reusable query, visualization, and code components that let teams self-serve answers - Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and platform engineers to align modeling standards as the team grows
Requirements
- Several years of experience owning data modeling and transformation work end-to-end, from question to decision - Proficiency in at least one programming language (Python preferred) and fluency with modern transformation and orchestration tooling - Bias toward simple, effective solutions and resistance to complexity that has not earned its place - Excellent written and verbal communication, including the ability to distill complex data topics for non-technical audiences
Nice to have
- Experience with consumer fintech, banking, or lending data such as card transactions, ledgers, credit performance, or fraud and risk signals - Familiarity with dbt, BigQuery, Looker, and data observability tooling - Experience setting up CI and testing frameworks for data pipelines
