Role overview
Lead the architecture and day-to-day operation of a data-driven marketing technology ecosystem for a mobile-first financial product. This is a hands-on technical leadership role focused on connecting product data, the warehouse, advertising channels, lifecycle messaging, attribution, analytics, and customer engagement. The position begins as an individual contributor, with potential to build and lead a dedicated marketing technology team as the function grows.
Responsibilities
- Own the martech roadmap, architecture, documentation, quality controls, governance, and privacy standards across customer data, measurement, messaging, and analytics systems. - Evaluate, implement, optimize, and manage external marketing technology partners and integrations. - Configure and maintain paid-media measurement, server-side conversion flows, event schemas, attribution windows, audience synchronization, and mobile measurement processes. - Build reliable pipelines, data models, reporting layers, and audience segmentation capabilities that support campaign measurement and personalization. - Partner with Marketing, Product, Engineering, and leadership to improve experimentation, incrementality analysis, lifecycle automation, rewards, and offers. - Translate technical issues into clear decisions, remove operational bottlenecks, and establish repeatable processes for campaign launches and traffic spikes.
Requirements
- Background in software engineering, data engineering, analytics engineering, or a closely related technical discipline. - Strong SQL skills and working ability in a scripting language such as Python or JavaScript. - Practical experience with APIs, webhooks, event-driven systems, cloud data warehouses, and marketing data pipelines. - Deep understanding of web and mobile attribution, conversion APIs, postbacks, deduplication, privacy-aware measurement, and incrementality. - Experience operating customer data, mobile measurement, lifecycle messaging, analytics, or similar marketing platforms at meaningful scale. - Clear communication skills, sound judgment, and a bias toward shipping useful solutions quickly.
