Senior Data Scientist

Role overview

This Senior Data Scientist role embeds within the Care group of a digital mental health platform to lead analytical strategy and drive engagement for the company's care coordination product. The position partners closely with product, design, and engineering to apply advanced modeling, experimentation, and AI techniques in service of better member and provider outcomes. The work combines rigorous statistical methods with pragmatic, fast-cycle experimentation.

Responsibilities

- Own the end-to-end analytical strategy to improve engagement and outcomes across the care coordination platform - Apply AI, predictive modeling, classification, and clustering methods to improve scheduling, provider matching, and care workflows - Design and execute a rapid experimentation roadmap, including quasi-experimental approaches to measuring impact - Serve as an embedded technical leader, partnering with product and design to define success metrics and shape the roadmap - Perform feature engineering and uncover insights across large, multi-source datasets - Coordinate closely with analytic engineering and analyst teammates embedded in the same pod

Requirements

- 5+ years of professional data science experience - Hands-on experience with experimentation, hypothesis testing, and quasi-experimental methods - Proficiency in SQL and Python - Experience with data modeling via dbt or similar tools - Experience with BI and visualization platforms such as Omni or Hex - Familiarity with product development and the software development lifecycle - Strong verbal and written communication skills

Nice to have

- Experience using AI as a productivity tool, including prompt engineering for LLMs, AI-assisted code optimization, and documentation
