Head of Engineering

Role overview Lead engineering for an AI-enabled contract analysis and negotiation product, combining hands-on full-stack development with team leadership. The role calls for someone who can guide technical delivery while working closely with a small, product-focused group.

Responsibilities - Lead and contribute to full-stack software development. - Build and maintain APIs and product features using the stated JavaScript stack. - Apply machine learning and natural language processing capabilities to contract-related product work. - Guide engineering work and collaborate with a small team in a self-managed agile environment. - Support product quality through collaborative coding and unit and integration testing.

Requirements - At least five years of relevant full-stack software development experience. - Experience with machine learning or natural language processing. - Experience leading an engineering team. - Familiarity with MongoDB, Express, React, Node.js APIs, and GraphQL. - Knowledge of data structures and algorithms, Git-based collaboration, and unit and integration testing. - Working knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, Docker, Celery, and FastAPI.

Nice to have - Experience with AWS and Google Cloud Platform. - UI/UX skills, including Figma, custom CSS, Material UI, or Semantic UI. - Prior work at a small startup or experience building on foundational models.
