About this role

Role overview This role sits inside the QA function for a voice AI agent platform that helps businesses deploy natural-sounding conversational agents in over 70 languages with sub-second response times. As a Manual Quality Assurance Engineer on the SIMBA team, you will safeguard quality across web-facing surfaces of the product, partnering closely with engineers, product managers, and customer-facing colleagues in a fully remote, fast-growing environment.

Responsibilities - Build and execute detailed manual test plans and test cases covering core user flows, edge cases, and feature behavior for the voice agent product - Run hands-on testing across multiple browsers and devices to validate new functionality, bug fixes, and release candidates - Partner with engineers and product to reproduce, isolate, and document defects with clear reproduction steps, expected versus actual outcomes, and supporting evidence - Keep QA documentation organized and current, including test cases, regression suites, test reports, and release validation summaries - Triage incoming issues with Product, Engineering, and Customer Support, prioritizing based on user impact - Participate in Agile ceremonies such as daily standups, sprint planning, backlog grooming, and retrospectives, and run regression sweeps before each launch - Spot and propose improvements to manual QA processes, test coverage, and how quality information flows between teams

Requirements - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience - At least three years of hands-on manual QA experience with a strong focus on web applications - Solid grasp of QA fundamentals, including test planning, test case design, regression testing, exploratory testing, and structured bug reporting - Experience operating inside Agile teams and collaborating cross-functionally with engineering and product - Strong troubleshooting ability, with the knack for isolating root causes and explaining issues clearly - Clear written communication, particularly when documenting defects and test results - Familiarity with issue and project tracking tools such as Jira or Linear - Comfort using browser developer tools to debug and reproduce issues

Nice to have - Accessibility testing experience and familiarity with WCAG guidelines - Background working with text-to-speech or other audio-based products - Exposure to test automation tooling, even without owning automation - API validation experience using tools like Postman
