Role overview This position supports the QA function for a multilingual voice AI agent platform that enables organizations to roll out conversational voice agents with sub-second response times in more than 70 languages. Joining the SIMBA team as a Manual Quality Assurance Engineer, you will own functional and regression coverage for the web product surface, working hand in hand with engineers, product managers, and customer support in a fully distributed setup.
Responsibilities - Design and execute detailed manual test plans and test cases, ensuring strong coverage of core flows and edge cases for the voice agent offering - Carry out manual testing across browsers and devices to validate new features, fixes, and pre-release builds - Work alongside engineers and product to identify, reproduce, isolate, and document defects, capturing clear steps, expected versus actual behavior, and supporting evidence - Maintain tidy QA documentation spanning test cases, regression suites, test reports, and release validation summaries - Coordinate with Product, Engineering, and Customer Support on bug triage and prioritization based on user impact - Take part in Agile workflows (standups, sprint planning, grooming, retrospectives) and run regression passes ahead of each launch - Continuously surface opportunities to improve manual QA processes, broaden coverage, and tighten feedback loops between teams
Requirements - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, a related technical discipline, or equivalent practical experience - Three or more years of manual QA experience with a strong emphasis on web applications - Strong command of QA fundamentals such as test planning, case design, regression, exploratory testing, and bug reporting - Track record working in Agile environments and collaborating across engineering and product - Effective troubleshooting skills, with the ability to isolate root causes and articulate them clearly - Strong written communication, especially for defect write-ups and test results - Working knowledge of bug tracking and project tools like Jira or Linear - Practical experience using browser developer tools to assist with debugging and reproduction
Nice to have - Accessibility testing experience and familiarity with WCAG guidelines - Exposure to text-to-speech technologies or other audio-first products - Familiarity with test automation tools, even when not personally building automation - Experience validating APIs with tools such as Postman
