About this role
Role overview This is a manual quality assurance role supporting the SIMBA voice agent platform, which delivers natural-sounding conversational AI in many languages with sub-second latency. The QA engineer will work closely with engineers, product, and customer support to validate new features, surface defects early, and keep QA documentation tight. It is a full-time remote position embedded in an Agile product team.
Responsibilities - Build and execute detailed manual test plans and test cases covering core user flows and edge cases for the voice agent product - Run hands-on manual tests across browsers and devices for new features, bug fixes, and releases - Reproduce, isolate, and document defects with clear steps, expected versus actual results, and supporting evidence - Keep QA documentation organized, including test cases, regression suites, test reports, and release validation summaries - Partner with product, engineering, and customer support to triage issues based on user impact - Participate in Agile rituals such as daily standups, sprint planning, grooming, and retrospectives - Run regression testing and release validation ahead of each launch and suggest ongoing improvements to QA process and coverage
Requirements - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience - 3+ years of manual QA experience with a strong focus on web applications - Solid grasp of QA fundamentals including test planning, test case design, regression testing, exploratory testing, and bug reporting - Experience working in Agile environments and collaborating cross-functionally with engineering and product - Strong troubleshooting skills, with the ability to isolate root causes and communicate them clearly - Comfort with bug tracking and project management tools such as Jira or Linear, and with browser developer tools for debugging and reproduction
Nice to have - Accessibility testing experience and familiarity with WCAG guidelines - Exposure to text-to-speech or other audio-based products - Familiarity with test automation tools, even without owning automation work - Experience validating APIs using tools like Postman
