Role overview
Join a remote-first product engineering team building developer tooling for infrastructure orchestration and platform engineering. You will help shape technical products from early discovery through design, implementation, release, and ongoing operation, with substantial ownership over features and engineering decisions.
Responsibilities
- Deliver new features and product capabilities through iterative, incremental development. - Own work end to end, including discovery, solution design, implementation, maintenance, and release. - Solve complex technical problems spanning multiple technologies and system boundaries. - Build scalable Go services with an emphasis on readable, maintainable, and well-tested code. - Develop a strong understanding of infrastructure, developer experience, and platform-engineering problems. - Participate in an on-call rotation and take responsibility for the systems you build.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of hands-on programming experience with Go, Rust, or C/C++. - At least 6 years of experience in software engineering, platform engineering, DevOps, or a related technical field. - A proactive mindset and a strong sense of ownership for decisions, delivery, and outcomes. - Genuine interest in building products and developer tools for technical users. - Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate closely across engineering, design, and product roles. - Willingness to keep learning about infrastructure and the problems faced by development teams.
Nice to have
- Experience in an early-stage startup or as a technical co-founder. - Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform, OpenTofu, Ansible, or CloudFormation. - Experience with Kubernetes or the broader cloud-native ecosystem.
