About this role
Role overview Help client teams deliver dependable web and mobile products by investigating issues and checking releases through hands-on manual testing. You will build detailed knowledge of a product and its user experience, then communicate findings clearly to developers, product managers, designers, and support teams. This is an initial six-month contract on a distributed team.
Responsibilities - Create, maintain, and run manual test cases and regression checklists for product releases. - Test web and mobile applications, including Android and iOS, for functional, usability, and visual issues. - Investigate, triage, and prioritize reported problems using customer feedback and internal support channels. - Document defects and test outcomes clearly, helping teams reach effective resolutions. - Learn client products in depth and use that knowledge to improve testing coverage and product quality. - Coordinate with cross-functional partners through development and release cycles.
Requirements - At least three years of professional QA experience; a computer science or mathematics degree is sought. - Demonstrated manual testing experience with web and mobile applications. - Familiarity with defect tracking and management tools such as Jira, GitHub, Azure Test Plans, Notion, or Backlog. - Understanding of Agile and Scrum ways of working. - Ability to write, understand, and run SQL queries, with scripting knowledge. - Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills, including clear writing and spoken English at upper-intermediate level. - Self-direction in a distributed environment, attention to detail, adaptability, and comfort learning unfamiliar systems.
Nice to have Experience with blockchain, data science, artificial intelligence, machine learning, or US mortgage industry standards.
Benefits and work setup The position is full-time for an initial six-month contract and can be based anywhere. It involves working directly with an embedded client team.
