Lead Forward Deployed Engineer - Migration

Role overview Lead customer migration engagements, setting technical direction as teams modernize data platforms and applications. The role combines hands-on engineering with architecture, customer advice, and contributions to software and tooling that improve future migration work.

Responsibilities - Scope migration projects and guide engineering teams through architecture, implementation, and deployment. - Build and improve software, prototypes, and automation; contribute product feedback and fixes based on customer needs. - Design scalable data architectures and pipelines, with attention to data quality and reliable processing. - Advise and train customer teams on data management, analytics, AI and machine learning, and reporting integrations. - Diagnose operational issues and optimize data models, queries, and workflows for performance and cost efficiency.

Requirements - Experience working directly with customers on complex, multi-part technical projects. - Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, or a related field. - Programming or scripting experience with languages such as Python, Go, Java, or C++. - Experience developing AI or machine learning applications, and a strong grounding in data modeling, warehouses, lakes, and cloud data platforms. - Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively in customer-facing settings. - Willingness to travel up to 20% and to handle customer information securely.
