DevOps Engineer (f/m/d) - Google Cloud Platform

Role overview A platform-focused engineering role dedicated to building the internal infrastructure that lets developers ship software quickly, safely, and independently. The position blends DevOps, platform engineering, and SRE responsibilities on a cloud-native stack, with significant autonomy to design systems end-to-end. Work is remote by default, with periodic in-person sessions for architecture decisions and collaborative planning.

Responsibilities - Design, run, and evolve the Google Cloud Platform and GKE/Kubernetes infrastructure, ensuring it stays scalable, resilient, and reliable. - Build self-service tooling and automated workflows that reduce developer friction and remove manual handoffs. - Improve CI/CD pipelines and embed quality, security, and reliability checks directly into the delivery process. - Manage infrastructure through Terraform and Infrastructure-as-Code practices, replacing manual work with reproducible automation. - Identify risks early and integrate security controls into both the platform and the delivery pipelines. - Establish observability through monitoring, logging, and metrics to detect problems proactively and inform continuous improvement.

Requirements - 5+ years of hands-on experience in DevOps, platform engineering, cloud infrastructure, SRE, or a comparable technical role. - Strong proficiency with Google Cloud Platform in production environments. - Confident working with Kubernetes, ideally including GKE. - Practical experience with Terraform, Infrastructure-as-Code, and scripting for operational automation. - A track record of owning solutions from concept through to production. - Comfort challenging existing approaches and driving improvements independently.

Nice to have - A portfolio, side project, or demo repository that demonstrates what you have actually built, not just talked about.
