Software Developer, Deploy & Run

Role overview A Platform Engineer role on a DevEx Deploy & Run team building the internal developer platform, GitOps workflows, and Kubernetes infrastructure that powers engineering across the organization. The position is remote within the UK (Belfast office available) and is open to associate, intermediate, or senior candidates.

Responsibilities - Build and maintain the Internal Developer Platform so engineers can deploy, operate, and troubleshoot services easily - Create self-service tooling and automation that eliminate repetitive work and reduce operational overhead - Design and implement GitOps workflows using ArgoCD for safe, repeatable, scalable application delivery - Improve the Kubernetes platform through reusable patterns, templates, and guardrails that make best practices easy - Build internal applications and developer tooling in Python for infrastructure management - Enhance CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions to improve deployment speed and consistency - Use generative AI tools, including agentic services, to build and maintain internal services - Improve observability with Datadog dashboards, metrics, logging, tracing, and alerting

Requirements - A platform mindset focused on reusable systems rather than one-off fixes - Strong automation skills and production-quality software experience in Python - Experience operating or building on Kubernetes with modern cloud-native deployment patterns - Familiarity with GitOps principles and tools such as ArgoCD or GitHub Actions - Care for reliability, observability, and operational simplicity - Clear, concise communication, including requirements in RFCs, PRDs, and ticketing systems

Nice to have - Experience with AWS, Terraform, Docker, and generative AI tooling such as AI coding agents
