Middle QA Automation Engineer

Role overview A fully remote opportunity for a mid-level QA Automation Engineer to lead the design of automated test suites while helping shift a testing practice toward AI-augmented workflows. The role blends hands-on test engineering with experimentation around intelligent tooling, working closely with developers to keep quality embedded in the delivery pipeline.

Responsibilities - Build and maintain automated end-to-end test suites using the Playwright framework. - Prototype and integrate AI-driven approaches that accelerate test creation, execution, and analysis. - Embed automated checks into CI/CD pipelines and collaborate with engineers on testability. - Develop and evolve internal test frameworks, helpers, and testing strategy documentation. - Execute targeted manual testing where useful and capture clear, reproducible test cases. - Triage test results, log detailed defect reports, and follow issues through to resolution.

Requirements - 4+ years of QA experience with a clear focus on test automation. - Strong, working knowledge of Playwright for browser-based testing. - Solid understanding of CI/CD pipelines and integrating automated tests into them. - Familiarity with modern testing methodologies, patterns, and best practices. - Hands-on experience with JavaScript or TypeScript in a testing context. - Genuine interest in transitioning toward AI-powered testing methodologies.

Nice to have - Prior exposure to AI-assisted testing tools or agent-based test generation.
