Middle Python Developer

Role overview A remote role for a mid-level Python Developer to build and scale web services and APIs using Django and FastAPI within an AI-first engineering environment. The position pairs traditional backend development with opportunities to learn and apply AI development tools and methodologies alongside the team.

Responsibilities - Develop and maintain web applications and services with Django and FastAPI. - Design and ship RESTful APIs and microservice components. - Model and query data in PostgreSQL and MongoDB. - Deploy, monitor, and manage applications on AWS or GCP. - Collaborate with cross-functional teammates to scope, build, and release features. - Participate in code reviews and contribute to architectural and technical decisions.

Requirements - 3+ years of professional Python development experience. - Practical experience with Django or FastAPI. - Working knowledge of relational and document databases, specifically PostgreSQL and MongoDB. - Understanding of RESTful API design and integration patterns. - Hands-on experience with at least one major cloud platform (AWS or GCP). - Enthusiasm for learning AI development tools and modern AI engineering practices.

Nice to have - Familiarity with Docker and containerized development workflows.
