Software Engineer Intern- Engine

Role overview Join a 12-week summer internship on an engineering team building a high-performance, distributed SQL database for data-intensive applications. Interns own projects end to end and ship code continuously into production alongside experienced engineers who serve as both technical and business mentors.

Responsibilities - Contribute as an active member of a small, collaborative engineering team working on a cloud-native distributed SQL engine. - Own features from ideation through production deployment over the course of the internship. - Develop new functionality, write tests, and help maintain reliability of the core platform. - Partner with product, go-to-market, and other business teams to understand context and impact. - Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and continuous release workflows.

Requirements - Currently enrolled in a B.S. program in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a closely related discipline. - Deep understanding of computer science fundamentals, algorithms, and data structures. - Strong programming skills in JavaScript, Go, or TypeScript. - Passion for building highly reliable, production-quality software. - Ability to move quickly in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Nice to have - Coursework or project experience in operating systems, distributed systems, concurrency, multithreading, or server architectures.
