Senior Data Scientist

Role overview Improve the analytics and detection systems used in an enterprise cybersecurity product. You’ll investigate large production data flows, simplify complex rule based logic, and work with engineering, analytics, and security specialists to make systems more efficient without weakening their effectiveness. Responsibilities - Examine detection rules and signal processing flows to find duplication, bottlenecks, and opportunities to simplify. - Use Python and SQL to investigate large datasets, test hypotheses, and assess the effects of proposed changes. - Trace dependencies across production systems and identify operational risks before changes are made. - Turn findings into clear recommendations for technical and nontechnical partners. - Work independently with engineers, data scientists, and security researchers to gather context and resolve blockers. - Help develop analytical methods as the team takes shape and priorities evolve.
