AI Scientist

Role overview A full-time remote role for an engineer-first AI builder who turns new models into reliable production systems. You'll architect intelligent features, ship them to real users, and work across the full stack of modern LLM and AI tooling alongside a small, high-standards team.

Responsibilities - Architect and ship AI-powered products end to end, from new model releases to production-grade systems. - Build with OpenAI, Anthropic, Gemini APIs, and open-source models across diverse use cases. - Implement and evaluate RAG, fine-tuning, prompt engineering, and agentic workflows, choosing pragmatically between approaches. - Develop AI services in Python (FastAPI) and AI-powered interfaces in TypeScript, React, and Next.js. - Integrate vector databases (Pinecone, Weaviate, Qdrant) and voice AI tooling (VAPI) into product features. - Use observability and evaluation tooling to make AI systems reliable and explainable at scale.

Requirements - Strong engineering background with current experience across LLMs, RAG, AI agents, vector databases, and prompt engineering. - Hands-on experience with OpenAI, Anthropic, Gemini, and open-source model ecosystems. - Comfort building simple ChatGPT-style integrations through to complex agentic systems. - Pragmatic judgement on when to use RAG versus fine-tuning versus prompt engineering. - Proficiency with Python (FastAPI), TypeScript, React, Next.js, and PostgreSQL with pgvector. - Experience with Vercel, Railway, or AWS deployment and real-time streaming for AI responses. - Strong written and spoken English communication skills.

Nice to have - Side projects showcasing creative AI applications. - Familiarity with Hugging Face transformers and inference tooling. - A bias for clean, scalable code, fast iteration, and giving and receiving direct feedback.
