Role overview This position calls for a developer advocate who bridges an engineering-driven organization and the software developer community across Indonesian-speaking markets. The role combines technical content creation, community engagement, and feedback collection, with the goal of helping local developers adopt the product while surfacing insights that shape engineering and product priorities. It is a remote-first role designed for a self-directed communicator who thrives with high autonomy.
Responsibilities - Create technical content such as tutorials, blog posts, sample code, and documentation for Indonesian-speaking developers - Engage the Indonesian developer community through online channels, meetups, and conferences - Localize and adapt existing technical material into Indonesian with technical fidelity - Collect feedback from developers and share actionable insights with engineering and product colleagues - Represent the organization at industry events, webinars, and community discussions - Coordinate with engineers to ensure external technical material remains accurate
Requirements - Native or professional fluency in Indonesian (Bahasa Indonesia), plus strong working English for internal collaboration - Hands-on experience with software development, APIs, or developer tooling - Demonstrated experience writing for technical readers or presenting technical topics - Comfort operating independently with high trust in a remote-first environment - Strong written and verbal communication skills - Understanding of how developers evaluate and adopt new technical products
Nice to have - Experience with search APIs, web data extraction, or related tooling - Active involvement in open-source projects or Indonesian developer communities - Existing network within the Indonesian or Southeast Asian tech ecosystem - Background in developer relations, technical evangelism, or similar community-facing roles
