App QA Tester

Role overview A manual mobile QA position focused on a privacy-first encrypted vault app for personal photos and videos, tested on physical iOS and Android devices. The tester is responsible for catching UX friction, regression bugs, and edge cases with privacy implications before releases ship. Reliability and user trust are built into every checkpoint.

Responsibilities - Run structured test suites across iOS and Android builds spanning vault, camera, backup, and authentication paths - File reproducible bug reports with video evidence, logs, and severity scores in the team's tracker - Explore new features, localized builds, and operating system betas to surface hidden defects - Confirm fixes in staging environments before approving production release - Keep a device lab matrix current across OS versions, screen sizes, and low-storage conditions

Requirements - Practical mobile QA background with a meticulous eye for detail - Skill at writing concise bug reports that engineers can act on independently - Working knowledge of TestFlight, Google Play Internal Testing, or similar beta channels - Genuine interest in encryption, app permissions, and offline mobile behavior
