Role overview
This senior engineering role focuses on building and evolving a multi-tenant, event-driven marketplace platform that lets third-party integration applications deploy, execute, and stream data across a large-scale, AI-driven security analytics ecosystem. The work spans designing the customer-facing catalog experience as well as the high-throughput services behind it, blending traditional distributed-systems engineering with thoughtful AI-assisted development practices. It suits an engineer who enjoys owning architecture end-to-end and shipping reliable systems at scale.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, test, document, deploy, and operate large-scale applications primarily in Go, with some work in Java - Architect high-volume, low-latency services capable of processing millions of events per second - Translate business and functional requirements into scalable, operable solutions that fit the broader data architecture - Improve system reliability and data integrity through observability, performance analysis, capacity planning, and operational excellence - Maintain and refactor existing codebases while delivering requested features and fixes - Lead technical discussions and design reviews, conduct high-quality code reviews, and mentor other engineers
Requirements
- Strong proficiency in at least one high-level programming language, preferably Go and/or Java, with the ability and interest to work across both - Deep understanding of distributed systems, event-driven architectures, microservices, concurrency, and large-scale data processing - Track record of building systems where scale, reliability, and data volume are central concerns - Collaborative approach demonstrated through design discussions, code reviews, and cross-functional partnership - Excellent communication skills for regularly liaising with product and other engineering teams - Proven capacity to collaborate effectively with both local and remote teammates across time zones
Nice to have
- Familiarity with AWS and/or GCP, Kubernetes, Docker, Postgres, Redis, and Kafka - Previous experience developing security-related products - Ability to quickly delve into new products and comprehend their inner workings
