Security Analyst

Role overview A remote cybersecurity internship for someone early in their career who wants practical experience in vulnerability assessment, application security, and threat research. The intern will work alongside a security engineering team, contributing to real assessments while learning industry-standard tools and reporting practices.

Responsibilities - Support vulnerability assessment and penetration testing exercises against web applications and APIs. - Identify, validate, and document security vulnerabilities with clear reproduction steps. - Analyze findings for severity, impact, and exploitability. - Work with common web and API security issues, including the OWASP Top 10 categories. - Contribute to threat intelligence and vulnerability research efforts. - Help prepare technical security assessment reports and reduce false positives through team validation.

Requirements - Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree or diploma in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, IT, or a related field. - Strong interest in ethical hacking and application security. - Basic understanding of networking, Linux, HTTP/HTTPS, and how web applications work. - Familiarity with the OWASP Top 10 is preferred. - Exposure to tools such as Burp Suite, Nmap, Postman, or Wireshark is a plus. - Analytical mindset, curiosity, and comfort working in a fast-paced environment.
