Vice President, Infrastructure & Operations

Role overview

This is a senior executive role leading infrastructure and operations for a cloud-focused software organization. The position owns the strategic direction, reliability, and scale of the platforms that support product delivery, reporting into the executive leadership team. It is a remote role with the function anchored in the Scottsdale, AZ area.

Responsibilities

- Set the long-term strategy for cloud infrastructure, production operations, and platform reliability across the engineering organization - Lead, grow, and develop a multidisciplinary infrastructure and operations team - Partner with engineering, security, and product leaders to align operational priorities with business and customer outcomes - Own operational metrics such as availability, performance, incident response, and cost efficiency - Manage vendor relationships, tooling choices, and the operational budget

Requirements

- Substantial leadership experience at the VP, senior director, or equivalent level overseeing infrastructure and operations in a software or cloud environment - Deep background in cloud platforms, distributed systems, and reliability engineering practices - Track record of leading large technical organizations, including remote or geographically distributed teams - Strong executive communication, planning, and cross-functional collaboration skills - Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
