Full Stack Developer

Role overview Build and operate full-stack software that supports data-intensive workflows for biotech laboratories and scientific teams. You will work across frontend, backend, APIs, cloud services, and distributed systems, helping turn user needs into reliable products while collaborating with AI and machine-learning specialists. The role combines hands-on delivery with architectural thinking, technical mentorship, and a strong focus on business impact.

Responsibilities - Design, develop, test, and deploy robust full-stack applications for laboratory and research workflows. - Shape scalable, performant, and maintainable architectural solutions in collaboration with the wider engineering team. - Build and maintain APIs that exchange data efficiently with internal services and external tools. - Integrate AI and machine-learning capabilities, including transformer-based solutions for bringing together disparate research data. - Write clean, modular, testable code and help maintain consistent quality across the software-development lifecycle. - Translate user needs into functional requirements while collaborating with product and cross-functional teams. - Evaluate and introduce technologies that improve development efficiency, product capability, and long-term maintainability.

Requirements - Strong experience designing and developing large-scale systems, particularly in AWS environments. - Practical proficiency with AWS Lambda, message queues, Java Spring Boot, Elasticsearch, DynamoDB, and S3. - Experience building APIs with Python and understanding microservices-based architecture. - Ability to learn and apply new frontend and backend technologies quickly. - Good judgment in balancing tactical delivery with longer-term scalability, simplicity, and maintainability. - Strong communication and collaboration skills, with an interest in mentoring engineers and managers.
