About this role
Role overview Lead the infrastructure function for a multi-environment financial technology platform, with responsibility for strategy, people, platform engineering and reliability. The estate spans legacy bare-metal and AWS-based SaaS, customer deployments in cloud or private environments, and a blockchain node operation; services must meet demanding availability and compliance commitments.
Responsibilities - Lead a department of roughly 40 engineers across five to seven teams, setting direction and owning infrastructure commitments to technical leadership, product, security and customers. - Complete the shift to a layered organization covering infrastructure services, platform, SRE, blockchain and internal IT, retaining strong contributors and addressing gaps. - Build a platform that tracks software versions across environments, supports different release controls and gives developers self-service tools. - Make SRE and senior support teams accountable for observability and incident response across production environments. - Finish migrating the legacy bare-metal SaaS to AWS and retire the old environment. - Improve engineering standards and hiring across the department.
